A considered approach

Start with clarity—not pressure.

Nuderma begins with a personal conversation about your goals, questions, and relevant medical history. Your care team will explain whether this service may be appropriate and what alternatives should be considered.

Recommendations, timing, expected experience, and aftercare are discussed during your consultation because every patient and treatment plan is different.

Microneedling + platelet-rich plasma

Your own plasma. A more supported renewal process.

A PRP Facial combines medical microneedling with platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood.

Microneedling creates controlled microchannels and starts the skin’s natural healing response. PRP, which contains concentrated platelets and growth factors, is then applied to the treated area to support regeneration and collagen production.

01

Autologous

PRP is prepared from your own blood rather than a synthetic additive.

02

Regenerative

Growth factors support the skin’s natural healing and renewal response.

03

Gradual

Texture and tone continue developing as new tissue forms over time.

Potential benefits

Designed to refresh the quality of your skin.

01

Fine lines

Supports collagen production where early lines and wrinkles are visible.

02

Texture + tone

Encourages a smoother, more even-looking skin surface.

03

Acne scars

Targets textural irregularity from healed acne scarring.

04

Pores + radiance

May refine the appearance of enlarged pores and restore a healthy-looking glow.

The appointment

From a small blood draw to a personalized skin treatment.

The complete appointment generally takes about 60 to 90 minutes, including preparation and processing. Your exact plan may vary.

  1. 01

    Draw

A small blood sample is collected, similar to a routine blood test.

  2. 02

    Separate

The sample is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate platelet-rich plasma.

  3. 03

    Prepare

The skin is cleansed and topical numbing is applied when appropriate.

  4. 04

    Microneedle

Controlled microchannels are created across the planned treatment area.

  5. 05

    Apply PRP

The prepared plasma is applied to the treated skin according to your plan.

Recovery + results

A short recovery. A longer renewal.

24–48 hours

Redness + swelling

Skin may look and feel mildly sunburned before settling.

About one week

Early glow

Initial improvements in texture and radiance may become visible.

4–6 weeks

Collagen development

Skin quality can continue improving as the regenerative response progresses.

A personalized series

Plan the treatment around the result—not a fixed number.

Nuderma notes that a series of three treatments spaced about four weeks apart is often recommended, with maintenance considered later. Your actual schedule depends on the concern, skin response, medical history, and treatment goals.

Follow the care team’s instructions for cleansing, skincare products, exercise, sun exposure, and when to resume normal routines after treatment.

Common questions

PRP Facial, explained.

Does a PRP Facial hurt?+

Topical numbing may be used before microneedling. Sensation varies by person, treatment area, and settings.

Is PRP safe?+

PRP is prepared from your own blood, which reduces the risk of an allergic reaction to the plasma itself. Blood collection, microneedling, and treatment still have risks that should be reviewed during consultation.

How many sessions will I need?+

A series of three sessions is often considered, but the appropriate number and spacing depend on your skin, concern, and response.

How long is recovery?+

Redness and mild swelling can last 24 to 48 hours. Most patients resume normal activities within a day or two while following aftercare instructions.

When will I see results?+

Early glow and texture changes may be visible within a week, with collagen-related improvements continuing over four to six weeks or longer.

Can PRP be combined with other treatments?+

PRP Facial already combines PRP with microneedling. Other services may be included in a broader plan when your provider considers the timing and combination appropriate.

Who should not receive a PRP Facial?+

Blood disorders, medications, infection, active skin conditions, pregnancy status, healing history, and other medical factors can affect candidacy. A medical consultation is required.
